This recent book celebrates the life and work of the great Guernsey man Frederick Corbin Lukis. It was written to accompany the 2006 exhibition Pursuits and Joys but also stands alone as an introduction to the life and work of this pioneering archaeologist, naturalist and antiquarian. The contributions of his extended family to the body of knowledge left behind in his collections and archive is also explored and described. |
